Valentine's Day Weekend at Now Jade Riviera Cancun
/To celebrate a romantic Valentine's Day with my lover we decided to book an all-inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya. I like to take advantage of the amazing surroundings in Cancun whenever I can, so I went on the hunt for an affordable, yet luxurious one night stay for us. The best deal and reviews came from the Now Jade Riviera Cancun.
I know it's somewhat confusing that this hotel is actually located in one spot with three different names -- Puerto Morelos, Riviera Maya, Riviera Cancun. Now Jade is located in the town of Puerto Morelos, which marks the beginning of the Riviera Maya just south of Cancun. I'm assuming the beginning of the Riviera Maya that is closest to Cancun is referred to as Riviera Cancun (maybe someone can correct me in the comment section if I'm wrong). Do they make these names just to confuse us?! Haha.
Fernando and I had never been to Now Jade before and it was the first time we stayed in a hotel in months. We definitely needed this getaway!
We hopped in a cab and headed over to Puerto Morelos on Saturday morning and arrived at Now Jade to check in.
When we stepped inside to the check-in, I knew it was going to be an amazing weekend.
Check-in wasn't until 3PM, but we arrived early and they offered to store our luggage while we roamed the grounds and laid out in the sun. I got giddy as soon as I stepped outside and saw the Riviera Maya beach views.
Our first stop was the beach bar for drinks.
Then we wanted food of course. We tried one of the buffets next to the beach. We were excited to find out that Now Jade is NOT your average all-inclusive. This is code for their food is BOMB (amazing).
After lunch we explored the pool area and spent some time at the beach.
Around 4PM we went back into reception and were taken right up to our room. Our room was comfy, clean, and had a great pool view!
Oh and did I mention we had a jacuzzi? The best part!
After some down time we got ready for dinner. The hardest part was choosing which one of the many restaurant options we would go to. We finally decided to try the Mediterranean food at Cin Cin.
Cin Cin had a red and black romantic atmosphere and our waiter Santos was the best! I had the salmon and Fer had beef, and of course we indulged in some appetizers including seafood fondue and lobster soup. We also enjoyed dessert. The food was phenomenal!
After dinner we stopped by Scores Sports Bar and danced the night away. Fer played some pool and we laughed at the wedding guests who were still in their wedding attire getting down on the dance floor.
Sunday morning I had coffee on the balcony and soaked up the view that we would be leaving that same day. We ordered room service breakfast which was just as delicious as the restaurant and buffet food.
Our check out was at 12PM but we were allowed to spend the day and still use our all-inclusive. We checked out and stored our suitcases at reception before heading down to the pool one last time.
Tip: If there are no open chairs by the pool, the staff working around the pool will bring you some, you just have to ask!
We were sad that we only spent one night in this luxurious and relaxing Riviera Maya hotel. Now Jade really has the best of the best - service, food, pool, beach, and rooms! It's the perfect weekend getaway hotel or for a fun family vacation.
Fernando and I will be heading back there as soon as we can and staying for more than one night. Thanks for making our Valentine's Day weekend perfect this year Now Jade!
