Cancun Riviera Maya Wine and Food Festival 2014
/The joys of working in social media and blogging about your adventures are endless. One of the best things so far is the press pass I received to enjoy the Cancun Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival. Let's just say the food was nothing short of AMAZING.
We visited the Gourmet Tasting Village at Moon Palace that ran for several hours on Saturday and Sunday. I had never been so excited in my life to see so many different kinds of food! As soon as we arrived we dug right in.
This year marked the third annual Cancun Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival which took place from March 13-16 at different hotels throughout Cancun and the Riviera Maya. The festival brings together foodies, the best international chefs, and wine stewards from around the world.
The Cancun Riviera Maya Wine and Food Festival prides itself on being a glamorous, luxury event that showcases chefs' passion for food and wine while simultaneously taking advantage of the Mexican Caribbean's beautiful hotels and scenery.
The Wine & Food Festival didn't just have Mexican food, but showcased many different restaurants and hotels in the area, and around Mexico that all specialize in different types of food.
As you know this was a WINE & Food Festival and since I'm sober I did not partake in the wine part. I was pleased when we visited the Ripex booth that the first question they asked us was: alcoholic or non-alcoholic? My girlfriends got to drink cocktails with mezcal while I enjoyed a divine mango smoothie with chamoy. 10 points for Ripex.
There were drinks, sweets, and meaty goodness of all kinds.
Another plus for a sober chick was that they had booths with different teas to try and gourmet coffees, expressos, and cappuccinos. YUM.
I would definitely recommend traveling to the Cancun Riviera Maya area during this amazing festival if you can.

Now I feel like a real authentic foodie. The Cancun Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival was one of the coolest events I've been to in the Mexican Caribbean. Does your city have a food festival similar to this? Let me know in the comments section!
